not breeding
« on: April 11, 2006, 02:59:31 PM »
at first i had 1 male and 1 female black convicts in a 30gallon but the male was later killed. then i introduced 2 albino males into the tank with the female. it is obvious to tell which male is more dominant which is the one always by the feamle hardly ever seperating. my question is when the hell are they going to spawn? any thoughts on why they haven't spaned yet. they've been in the takn for about a month and a half together. the tank setup consists of a long pipe 1 clay pot an 1 cave with clay in the bottomb of it.

PLEASE HELP ME. i never had convicts that wouldnt breed, whats goin on???

You got better chances of getting a spawn out of the pair if you remove the extra male.

I wouldnt' waste my time with guppies. Cons aren't really piscivore.  Just give em time. Some will start straightaway, others have to figure whether or not they like each other before they do the deed. Give 'em some peace and quiet, they'll come around ;)
