Well obviously they need to be a boy and a girl and then it depends on them.  I think firemouths breed fairly readily - i am assuming you know or suspect them of being a boy and girl?

Good morning

It depends on things to get Meekis starting to breed.

First thing, u need a fairly large tank, at least 250 litres for ONE couple. Then it would be the best if u start with about 4 or 5 youngsters, cause Meekis like to chose their mate for themselfes.

And what they really love is a well structured tank (plants, rocks and roots) cause they need spaces where they can hide. And not to forget, they need sand not gravel, cause Meekis dig for their food, and they become real diggers when they start to breed.

If all those things are guaranteed, I bet the start breeding pretty soon O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0
