a lady up the road from me has a 34litre tank with approx 20 7cm convicts.the weird part is that they all live peacefully in the tank together though it looks very crowded there all breeding like crazy but there no filter or heater in the tank she just empties the tank fills it with tap water and puts the fish bak in an they have lived that way 4 about 8mnths apparently.i heard they were survivors but no filter?

She must change the water a lot to keep them alive, Are they happy, healthy, packed in like sardines, I doubt it.
As for the breeding, well just goes to show how cons like to do it

The only reason they survive is because they have acclimatized to her schedule - if I were you I would have a word with her.

this lady doesnt even like her kids sadly so i cant really see her looking after the cons properly.i would take em off her hands and give them a better life but theres to many to save..poor cons
