Somethings wrong with my convict

i don't really know if its sick or something but i have 2 convicts they are both identical size about 4 inches  i think there males but one of them has a fat stomach i was told that he could of swallowed a rock or something but he can take a poo fine so i don't know if it is because hes the dominant male or something what do u think

Hi behemouth  -  S**T probably isnt a word you should use as we get all ages here, but i have to admit your bluntness made me laugh.

Sexing convicts

Male - larger, more aggressive, extended dorsal and anal fin, nuchal hump, poss. brighter coloured

Female - the opposite plus an orange belly + / - orange around the darsal area.

It might be that you have a breeding pair and that big belly is eggs.

It might be constipation - in which case shelled peas or epsom salts are the way to go.

He might have gorged himself on food?

Is he / she behaving okay?

yeah sorry for using that word  :-X

unfortunately i dont have any pics

im sure both are males as none have orange belly and they look identical but could tell them apart by one being the dominant male

but im pretty sure it might be constipation  :o

and it is behaving normal for what ive seen

i have had female convicts that the orange on the belly was so faint you could barely see it.  do both have nuchal humps?
