« on: January 26, 2007, 01:04:05 PM »
ive had 11 convicts in a 300l fish pond for around 3 mnths,7 females and 4 males, the problem is i see their eggs all the time placed on rocks and caves etc.ive seen alot of eggs laid, and they look fertile but nothing eventuates, they end up getting eaten, ive tried putting 1 breeding pair into a 10g tank, the day after they laid the eggs they were gone,i left them in there, incase they had just buried them or something, but nothing, anyone had this much trouble trying to breed these guys?

Cons like all cichlids can take a while to get it right.  Be patient - thats all you need to do.
