convict and a tankmate in a 29 gal
« on: March 14, 2007, 04:41:29 PM »
I might set up my old 29gal tank cause I planned on getting a bigger one but I cannot right now >:(.I wanted a convict and 1 tankmate. I need advice. There are 2 options will one of these work or will  both of my plans work.
1 convict, 1 firemouth, some tiger barbs(or some smaller other schooling fish)
or
1 convict, 1 salvini, and schooling fish.
The schooling fish are to act as somewhat target fish to help with aggresion.
thanks

 8) I'd go w/ the 'Con' - 'Firemouth' or pair of 'Cons'. The 'Salvini's gonna be a nitemare. Good luck,  "T"

a 29 gallon is just a tall 20 gallon long.  Which makes the tank 24" if memory serves.

I am gona go with 1 and a firemouth or at least try it . I got to more questions. Well my life is complicated right now the reason I cant get a bigger tank is because I got to move in to an appartment wich will happen soon. 1 my tank is about fully cycled if I am gonna move it should I just drain all the water out to transport it. wwwwwill this hurt my cycle? 2 my heater broak i was gone for the weekend and had a friend feed them and take care of the light he called and gave me up dates, well the heat was up to 90 something degrees i would adjust the heater lower but nothing happend so i need a new one the heat has been jumping around like this for the weekend and little bit more will this hurt my cycle?
since i got to move i only have the fish in there i cycled with and i am not going to get the others to I move and get my tank resettled in is my cycle in danger is this how i should move it thanks.... ???
