« on: July 02, 2007, 10:09:30 AM »
it might be a silly little want but could there be a discus section in the american older/ directory??? to act just like the convict or oscar bit?

Or is there not enough people who like discus????

Unfortunately there are only a few people on here keeping discus, and not enough to warrant its own section.  I personally love them myself.  I think posting questions or comments in the american cichlid forum is probably the best course right now until discus start to get more popular, I would love to see more discus keepers here.

I have kept them on a number of occasions and would be happy to help anyway I can.  I even had a group of adult wild caught heckels discus.  It was probably one of the most difficult things I have ever done having to give them away.

Yeah... it was either that or give them to a LFS for free since I was moving and couldnt use store credit, and none of them give cash for trades.  Not to mention that LFS are notorious for killing healthy discus with inadequate and improper setups.  I felt better about giving them to someone who had a 240 gallon discus tank with 8 adult mixed discus, so my 6 fit right in.
