hello all, thanks for everyone's comments.

The reason that there is no fish or even water in the tank atm is because i was in a legal battle over my right to stay in my house with the council. But now thats out of the way i can get on with a much needed makeover of mt living room. And seeing that my tank is in my living room - the only place big enough for it!!!! now the future wife wants to wait until the living room is decorated till i can fill it up. which will be nect week sometime.

Yep i made a few calculations and the tank holds 206 gallons of water. My diy hob hold 5 gallons and my sunp holds 60 gallons. in total displacement thats 271 gallons of water. dnt know what that is in us gallons. i will be puttin sum mre pics up in the next couple of weeks.

hello all, just though i would keep everyone all informed. atm i have it all up and whirling. a major head ache with the sump so scraped it and went with canisters. 2 x 1400 litres an hour and 2 x 1200 litres and hour and one fuidized bed filter. i have a t-5 lighting unit set up overhanging it with 8 t-5 lighting bars. i have got at the mo 24 rummy nose tetras just to make sure its all ok. the decor at the mo is a small (maybe the size of the tank) cluster of wood and a bit of slate to create a sense of depth. all will change next week when hopefully i will be getting a breeding group of 7 apistogramma  'STEELBLUE' and also a pair of Microgeophagus Ramirezi.German Blue Ram. and also i have orderd loads of new wood coming to 60 pounds (money wise). and also over 50 plants. like swords crypts and vallis.
