how does this sound?????
« on: February 16, 2003, 01:01:09 PM »
I have a 65 gallon tank with two jd's.  I want to add more fish.  I am thinking of firemouths, jewels, or blue acaras.  If i do jewelss or firemouths i will get 2 or three, i would get 1 blue acara (if i can find one at a lfs).  I also would like to get 5 or 6 giant danio as dither/target fish.  Does anybody see a hole in this plan?  What would be the best way to go???

Hmmn this post sounds familiar  :P.  I'd stick with the 2 JDs, and hope they don't get too mean for one another.

lol, i post some of my questions on more than one forum to get max. response.   ;) .  I think i might get rid of one jd to make it work, it would work much much better with one jd.

I run Dempseys and Firemouths in the same 55, two of each, with a Pleco. No problems so far, though I am pouring a little slab under the floor so I can reinforce it with floor jacks and move all the fish to a 125.

Okay...filtration on a 125 containing six Dempseys, four Firemouths and a Panaque nigrolineatus? Two big Eheim canisters, two Tetra Whisper 3060s, probably a diatom canister to run once a week is what I'm considering.
