so putting them with a pair of gold sev's is a no no then?

i have a bout 3 pairs of angels as well. but they havent pair up in a long while. i stopped feeding daily with frozen food and have been feeding pro colour crisp and prima. so if i listed all my fish could you say which are to come out?

Based on my personal experience with Sevs, I wouldn't keep them with Discus.  While the Sevs were young, maybe.... but once they mature they can be right nasty little beasts, especially the females  ;D  My two girls are pretty aggressive, and I doubt Discus would be able to cope with them

I think I would go with corys instead of loaches with discus.  Loaches can still be fairly aggressive, and highly active which can be problematic for discus.

Interestingly enough I think sevs are regarded as the poor mans discus.  They can be a little feisty at times but that aside they wouldnt like the temp which discus are kept at nor the PH probably - assuming u will be hovering it areound the 6.0 mark.

A temp of 28 / 30 is good for discus because it reduces their susceptibility to disease. Its also very nice when performing tank maintennce - rather like a bath for ones hands.

yh i already have 16 corys. 10 cory sterbi 2 bronze 1 panda and 3 schwazeri. and the i have 3 loachs (skunk). so if i took the sevs and the loachs out everything else is ok? and yup its nice and warm for my arm and shoulder!!!!!

i was thinking of maybe getting 10 colbolt blue discus at around a tenner each and trying them. after i have improved my decor and filtration. maybe add a u.v too.

I agree, but you'd also be surprised at the many variations of Green Sevs there are. Quite colorful also.  :o

yh htat would be nice having the 2 pairs but i dont see many green varients where i live. so its a bit of hide and cant seek.

Found my discus supplier. just waiting for the cash. Hopefully one day soon i will post some pics of my tank as it is.
