my cons spawned  and i see fry swimming around then darting under driftwood. O0 i am thrilled as this is my 1st batch of fry ever. my question is 2 weeks ok to seperate from parents? i was thinking about just letting them be and letting nature take its culling effect.

I would leave them with mom and dad a little longer than two weeks.  It takes a fair amount of work to look after fry at that age and it is easier to let the parents do the hard work.  Plus, if you take them away that early, dad is likely to want to breed again straight away and there is a good chance that mom won't be ready yet.  Male Cons can get pretty aggressive when they're "in the mood" and they can do a lot of damage to their mates trying to convince them to spawn.  Severe injury or death of the female is not uncommon.

The parents will probably be looking to breed again when their current fry are 6 to 8 weeks old, so that is the time that I'd take the fry out.
