Hello, someone has offered me a 1 synodontis and 2 porthole catfish. Has anyone any experience of these fish. The lady also has 3 thicklipped gourami, 1 jade eyed cichlid. If I take them, they will all be in the same tank. should they all get on ?

What size is the tank?

I will be also collecting 6 tanks from her. 2 x 4' x 2', 2 x 3' x 1' and some smaller tanks. So would be either of these.

I'm not sure about the gourami's but the catfish and cichlid should be OK together in either of those tanks.

catfish and cichlids usually get on Ok, the gourami I don't know that kind

Colisa labiosa (Trichogaster labiosus)
Thick-Lipped Gourami

Believe there one of the nicer Gourami`s, only get to about 9cm.
And easy to breed.
Not sure how they would get on with the Cichlids, would need to keep an eye on them.
But with so many tank`s why not give them there own.
