Very nice, you'll have to watch the shark if they do breed - he'll be after the eggs/fry.

Mind you my BNs saw off Mbuna when they were looking after eggs, the fry didn't stand a chance though and the next time they mated I removed the fry just after they had hatched.

Luke has bred them a few times, hope he manages on as I know he has been very busy with work lately.

But I believe a cave the male can just fit in, good diet with plenty of veg is the main things

Afraid not.  I'm currently growing out some baby LDA08 with a view to breeding myself.  It will be the first time I've bred L's.  Every day's a school day!

But I believe a cave the male can just fit in, good diet with plenty of veg is the main things

That's how I've done it, had a very small pot and they laid eggs inside, the male then protects and fans the eggs.  When the eggs hatched I removed the pot complete with male to a fry tank.  When the male ventured out to see what was happening, I moved him back to the main tank and grew out the fry.

PS:  prior to the eggs hatching I had the fry tank running and allowed it to develop algae for when the youngsters were introduced.  As they then grew I introduced fresh veggies each day.
