The male will chase the female into the pot, under wood, etc to get her to lay the egg`s then chase her off.
I then removed her and let him raise the fry.  In there own tank.
You will have to condition then up first....Good food,  feed little and Afton, fresh vegg`s, Pleco pellet`s and (blood worm`s once a week )
That`s what I did.

How big are your BNs?  I'm wondering how long it takes for them to become sexually mature?

Mine are about 3 months old now I think (I'll have to find my post on here when I first acquired them to be sure!) and have just reached about an inch in length.  I put them with my Royal Tetras in a tank which looked really pretty covered in algae.  They've polished it off in no time and still seem to be nibbling at the remaining algae as they've ignored the cucumber I've offered them and this has simply led to a larger snail population!  Only one of my BNs has developed bristles so far and he's getting a bit feisty around the others.  I have 6 in total and will probably rehouse three in a seperate tank to cut down on any stress issues before they're big enough to go in the 55g with my cichlids and pair up naturally.

My fry tank currently has Royal Tetra, Sajica and Corydoras Sterbaii fry.  Hopefully the BNs will play ball and add to them.  Meanwhile my LFS is very happy with me.   ;D

I no longer have them. Oscar killed both them.   Ya I should never have put them back in the O tank. :(  But that was some time ago.
They where about 10cm or so.

My 2ft tank is a BN factory. 1 male and 1 female, plus 30 plus babies that range from 1cm to around 5cm (all different hatchings.

I larger rock where the male hangs out and some other rocks with holes plus lots of plants.
would you like a photo of the tank?? :)
