Idk what he is but the ppl at the fish store didn't even no what his was but I took him anyways n his goin good in the tank he dnt make love with anything n notin messes with him he eats like the o in there goes rite up 2 top when I feed them

Sorry Wayne, I haven't been around much and I just saw this post.

To be honest I'm not sure what he is    He looks somewhat familiar but there isn't even something that jumps into my head for what he looks like.  I'll try to do some searching and see if I can come up with something.

Wayne, you said the ppl at your lfs didn't know what he was.  Did they give you any kind of name at all?  Anything?

no they didnt they looked though a fish book they had n they just had no idea but i took a chance with him anyways n his done fine i think that he looks something like the pic that LittleFrog has posted on his pic but it doesnt say what it is the only other thing that i think it looks some what like is a salvini but idk thats y i need the help i need 2 no how big its goin 2 get his eats everything i put in the tank i no that his eatin is goten bigger from when i got him thanks again guys

that does look alot like what he is do u no if there that dark n the tips of his fins have a red color on them

From what I can c on my phone they look bout the same I can try n take more pic's of him if need 2 could he be a cross breed ?

I was leaning towards some type of African myself and now that Still mentioned it I'm leaning that way even more.  The one Gerry posted looks pretty close.

It could be some type of hybrid, it's always possible.

I've read that Tilapia species do hybridize on a regular basis, which makes it very hard to tell what they are    I think Gerry may have got it though, that does look quite a bit like your fish

yes that does look alot like the 1 that i have thanks 2 ever one that has help me find out what this guy is now he has a name n i can find out how big he is goin to get n all the good shit thanks again good job
