Can a Severum have Corydoras catfish as tankmates?

or will they become lunch? I wouldn't mind getting a small school of them.Tanks 50gal,Sev is still small about 8cm.He is in the tank with a small BN.I've become a fan of catfish now,and corys are cute. :)

I had Corys in with the Synspilus (big fish with pink head in sig pic) for a while and he never gave them a second glance

I Mixed 2 Gold sevs with about 20 or so corys and they were fine!

Thanks everyone,that's good news.I asked at the lfs, but she looked at me funny,though she also did that when I said we have Silver dollars in with our Oscar. :) I'm going look around for some Corydoras aeneus,I've read that they are good for beginners. O0 I might get 6 albino ones.

Corries IMO arnt exactly the hardest things in the world to keep. I would get what ever you wanted to get into your tank!

pandas are nice make sure that the LFS have had themn in for more thana week and all should e well!

Just make sure they are not to small when you get them, save your sev thinking they are lunch

I agree!  Every once in awhile, you come across an aggressive Severum, whom will try and eat a small fish.  Although, Ive only owned one whom chased small fish.  ;) O0

Thanks everyone ,I got some. O0 Two Peppered Corys,Three Albino Corys and One Panda Cory.(They only had one left.)Here's a bad photo of them. :)They will go in with Sev in 4 or 5 weeks.

Ive got a sev with 2 peppers (yes people new cichlid for Tony)

Pandas can be hard to get which is why they cost more(I only got one too), I love lepoard cories but they cost even more than panda and are hard to get too,, Iv only found one so far.. albinos are common and cheap but fun fish to keep,, I got 5 of the buggers lol,,
