Oh man, I lost my panda corys.  :(  I found one the other day with his head missing, and this morning the other one is dead.Water test ammonia 0,nitrite 0 and nitrates 10.Last water change was 3 days ago. They were the smallest fish in the tank.Tankmates are a BN,Severum and some larger corys.I didn't see it but I think the Severum may have attacked them?  :-\ Edit: I just thought of something maybe they didn't get enough food they didn't seem to be growing like the other corys.

Sounds like the Sev turned mean  :'(

That's the worse thing about cichlids yet the thing we like. They all have individual personalities and as such you can never be 100% sure on how things go.

maybe if you get large corys and remove the Sev and do a tank change around when you put them in. then when the sev goes back he might be distracted, but again it is a gamble

I think the aggresison of Severums is often way underrated  :-\  For the first two years that I had my four, 2 males and 2 females, they were the stupidest, scattiest fish you'd ever met in your life.  A strong look would send them running for cover..... and god help you if you tried to gravel vac near them  ::)

But a bit after 2 years old, almost overnight, the females turned into these nasty, agressive, territorial little witches.  The males got very dominant, typical male cichlid "I'm a big, bad fish and I rule this tank" behaviour, but the females were downright vicious  :o  Both girls would gang up on my Oscar pair that they were in the tank with, and it's not like they couldn't find separate territories in the tank, it was 180 gallons.

Thanks everyone,my mistake I should have keep the pandas out till they grew some more size.I just didn't want to break up the school of corys and have two living by themselves.I will take Sev out and change the tank around, and also keep an eye on Sev.I'm not looking forward to when she turns two now, lol.I might have to change tankmates then.
