There are plenty of breeders that strip the eggs from the mother and raise the fry successfully. But yes, just keep them separate now.
Hopefully, you've got mature filtration on the tank and you're looking for not too strong a flow, personally I use bubble filters on fry tanks and use them as airstones in main tanks to keep them mature.
I'd keep an eye on them and attempt to give them fry food, when it looks like they are really starting to take it on then you can look to increase the feedings.
