Bud & Charlie
« on: July 05, 2010, 02:48:02 AM »
Pics of my BP Charlie and FH Bud.

Does anyone know any tips to get that hard algae off the back of my tank? I scrub it but it won't come off.

Nice fish  O0

As for the algae, apart from using chems I'd say if it's that stubborn, scraping with something fairly solid like a stiff plastic scraper (I've used store cards and the likes in the past) might work. Obviously nothing metal, it will scratch the glass  ;)
I am in my own little world, but it's okay, they know me here.

I use the Tetratec GS45 Glass Scraper, has replaceable metal blades and doesn't scratch the glass.

Thanks everyone. I've had Charlie since he was a little fry and I've only had Bud about 3 weeks now.

I will try the crdiet card, if that doesn't work order the algae scraper, it makes the tank look dirty whe it's not.h

Have to admit though - for the back of the tank, I use a dark background and just let the algae grow.

I'm kinda like Al it gets to be too much of a chore, besides my Africans pick at it ;D
This is getting expensive! I think I\\\'m gonna need a 2nd job to support my fish habit.
