Hi my name is Charles. I have been keeping Cichlids for over ten years mostly the South and Central American species.I kinda wish I knew about this group a couple of years ago because while on a fishing trip a while back in central TX I caught and took home a Cichlid that nobody could ID for me!

Hello everybody hope everybody is doing well! I did not think of taking a picture of it because for some reason I thought my girlfriend would be able to keep it alive for the short time i was over seas but two months after I deployed it died. I do remember thinking it was a Convict cichlid at first because of the stripes but I never seen any that had a green body. also the dorsal fin was very spiny. Sorry if the description is so vauge but thats all i could remember about him.
