A little update as to what is going on.
I now have each pair in their own tank.Looks to be going very well.I let all 3 tanks range in heat from 81.5-85 degrees.Reason for that is I try to simulate natural temps,by that I mean at night you will not have the same temp that you would have during the day.Continuous flowing aerated water is a definite must.My ph had been in the range of 7.5-7.7.
The one thing that I must say I am noticing is that they bring an abundance of stress amongst themselves,I truly believe this would be the main cause for bloat in this species, not so much their diet.Once separated by themselves or by pair of opposite sex your stress level will diminish.

I remember hearing that Hait's were prone to bloat that a change of diet didn't seem to help.  It's interesting that separating them seems to have settled all that down.  Obviously these guys are much more solitary from an early age that a lot of cichids are, and that being in close proximity to each other is hazardous to their health for more than the normal reasons.

How much does the tank temp drop overnight?  I'm curious, as I am doing something similar with my 55 that contains my BGK, Clown Pleco's and Senegal Bichir.  It's winter here, so the temps are dropping lower than I expected overnight and not getting as high as most ppl recommend during the day.  I've noticed very little detrimental effect of any of the fish, if anything my BGK seems to be thriving.

Well everyone,I woke up this morning to a big surprise!
I noticed that one of my pairs had their tubes sticking out alot further than normal,lo and behold she laid some eggs upside-down in a flower pot.
These fish are only 3-3.5 inches, they are babies themselves!!
I don't think the fry will live being that the parents are so young themselves do you??
Has anyone ever had this experience??

Yep Con`s and Sajica are know for breeding young.  ;D
Don`t be surprised if you get fry, if there anything like the Con`s and Saj`s then there have no problem razing them up.
