This is getting expensive! I think I\\\'m gonna need a 2nd job to support my fish habit.

Would also explain the die off I had a couple of years back.  On subject, all of my fish love the blood worms.  I let them thaw about half way in some tank water and then dump them in.  The bala's love them, and once the raphael's realize they're in the water they come out hunting ...day or night XD

Great topic and something I'm always researching.

Do any of you have a preference of what frozen food to feed? Either based on nutrition or how messy it is when fed to the fish?
I have always preferred frozen or making my own recipe that gets frozen.

I try and think what is available to the fish in the wild and feed that or something comparable.

Great topic and something I'm always researching.

Thanks, I'm always interested in learning new thing on how to take care of and give a better quality of life to my Oscars. I think I'm going to consider making some frozen recipe's my self as well. The only thing I have in my freezer for my fish at the moment is some fresh shrimp that I put into the freezer for them. I just thaw in some tank water, cut up and then feed to them. They seem to love this, especially my red o! Then again they should as I really like shrimp too! Ha ha.
125 gallon tank
1 Red Oscar (Mr Red)
1 Tiger Oscar (Mr Fishy)
1 Jack Dempsey (Jacky)
1 Green Terror (Pokin Fish)
1 Common Pleco (Roomba)

10 Gallon Planted
3 Male Guppys
4 Lamb Chop Rasboras
2 Cory Cats
3 Red Cherry Shrimp
