That's a Cryptoheros Sajica on the top left isn't it? that's nice. Mine looks nothing like that in colour, it's dull, drab and more than a little bit odd.

Ok, their names are:

Top left - Archocentrus Multispinosus (formerly Herotilapia Multispinosa) - common name Rainbow Cichlid
Middle top - Thorichthys Meeki - common name Firemouth Cichlid
Top right - Thorichthys Pasiones - common name Yellow Meeki
Bottom left - Hypsophrys Nicaraguensis (formerly Cichlasoma Nicaraguensis) - common name Parrot Cichlid
Middle bottom - Archocentrus Sajica (formerly Cichlasoma Sajica) - common name Jade Eye Cichlid
Bottom right - Paratheraps Synspilum (formerly Vieja Synspilum) - common name Redhead Cichlid

As is to be expected, they all have multiple common names and, no doubt, by the time I post this the wonderful scientists will probably have reclassified them all again and they will all be called BOB!  At the moment I am awaiting arrival of new fish:

Paratheraps Melanurus - there is some debate about whether this is the same fish as Synspilum.
Paratheraps Zonatus
Thorichthys Maculipinnis

When these arrive I will post some pictures, but I am not expecting them until early December.  Currently trying to get their tank set up for them.

That's interesting, and would answer the question of why I didn't think my T-bar was actually a T-bar. That's the fish I have in my tank (top left pic) minus the colours and it was sold to me as Cryptoheros Sajica. I'VE BEEN HAD!!! Maidenhead aquatics will be hearing about this! And there rainbow cichlids look nothing like that either, closer to Nics.

Dale, that is the mature adult colouration of the Rainbow.  They start off sort off silver and black.  Come to that, the Sajica look very similar until they start developing colour.  The Nic pictured is not showing adult colouration either.

Gerry, I have someone who orders fish for me when he does.  He picks them all up from the airport, quarantines them, and then lets me have them.  All in all, a very good arrangement for me (for which I am grateful).

Personally, don't think so and if you like that type of fish you will like both and see differences in them.

Just watch where you order them from!
