Help ID my Africans
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:37:44 PM »
Hiya,

I'm kinda new to the cichlid world and appreciate the help of the pro's ID my Africans... In India they are known by various (Zebra, butterfly) names but I really don't think those are the right one's.

The names are escaping me tonight, not that that helps you.

The first is an Aulonocara, I'd suspect an OB hybrid
2nd - I just can't get - it's in there but the old grey matter just won't release it !!
3rd - Venustus

I'll take a potshot at the middle one and say juvinile Placidochromis milomo :-\
Agree that first is Aulonocara OB (man-made hybrid or select-bred) and last is  Nimbochromis venustus
Anytime is a good time to watch the fish and just relax.Unless it's feeding time...then forget relaxing.
