I have spent several hours reading old posts, but one of the things I havn't gotten to is the faq's.Not knowing what questions are already there,I would say-answers about filtration would be way up there, diatome vs. charcoal etc. What brands people have used, have them rated as to ease of set-up & use, functionality, noise level and so on.It seems to be the question most asked from what I've read so far.(if you have this covered already.....ooops,sorry.)
Too small,or not too small;that is the question.

Here's the FAQs link again for the people who haven't been there yet: http://www.worldcichlids.com/faqs/faqindex.html.

I think filtration sounds like a very good idea :)  Unfortunately, I'm lost when it comes to tank hardware :-[

How about algae control?  There are a lot of chemicals to control algae that probably aren't so good.  And there are a lot of natural ways to control it which are better.  Like -- Plants, algae eating fish, daphnia (daphnia may not be so common, but it worked for me), less lighting, less food....

I'm not sure if this would be a FAQ, but I'd be interesting in being able to read reviews of various equipment like filters and heaters.  For example, I've been thinking of getting a Fluval 404 for my 75 gal... I'd like to know what others thought of this filter. They're not cheap!

Anyway, that's my .02 worth!

What about a general article on tank maintenance. I think a lot of people starting out in the hobby don't have this basic info.
Water changes, cleaning the filters, test kits ect..

  Just a few thoughts  :D

Good ideas there..
I think the reveiws of tank hardware would warrant another section other than FAQs. I know a couple of people who have written reviews on some filters. I might track them down.

The tank maintainence is a very good idea and I think we will definatly do that one as a Faq.

Controlling algea is also a good idea and I might put it in with the tank maintanence
