Yes, they will get the nuchal(sp) hump, I'm not exactly sure how big they get, but seeing as they are a cross between an RD and Trimac I would treat them in the same manor as you would those fish.

Shouldnt that be depending on the make? ;)

You really take pot luck with hybrids, so you cant say for sure how they will turn out.

Flowerhorns have been given many names.  Since they are a hybrid I think the breeders just decide on a name for their particular batch.  There are some websites, mostly from Japan, that have photos of many Flowerhorns.  I have a Warrior Flowerhorn that is about a year old and about 6".  As they get to this size, they have trouble getting along with other fish.  Mine harassed a Pacu larger than him to death.  Mine has been in almost every tank in the house.  He's fine with the oscars, but picked on the severums.  When he gets bigger, I want to put himin my 180 with my arowanas & oscars, bu the last time I tried it, not too long ago actually, the arowana grabbed him and almost ate him.  Fortunately, between splashing the water and yelling at the arowana (I know- everyone in my family thinks I'm crazy too) he let him go.  I have him in a 30 gal. tall on my kitchen couner right now and he has become very friendly and has a lot of personality.

Yes they do seem to have personalities that rival Oscars, mine is about 3 inches and comes to greet me all the time.He even seems to know his food container, upon seeing it he dances all over the tank.
