Actually the chatroom doenst have a limit... we have had over 10 people there from time to time.  Occationally for one reason or another it will have problems but that is usually not the case.

Huh? The server has not come close to it's limit, if your having trouble getting in, it's not the sites fault. There are 3 people in there right now, maybe try downloading mIRC and using that, it's a great program. Look in one of the chat posts in chit/chat to learn some more.

maybe have a sceduale type thing , you know like go on and check on a certain day and time and see what the subject is. or if you want a certain chat at a certain day and time you can post it. example. post on the page: on sunday jan. 11 at 7:00 pm est i would like a chat room on red devils.. , i know this may sound foolish to some , but i am new to this site and would like to shed some info>> thanks

Ok, so if Im in the IRC chat, can the people from the Java chat talk to me?   Also, it says this-*** #worldcichlids: Cannot send to channel.-, is that bad? And what can I do to fix it? Thanks

Doesn't matter which client you use, you will always end up in the same chatroom.
And for the "Cannot ..." notice, this happens when you just joined the channel and try to post immediately, you just have to wait a little moment.

you can download mirc for free,then pay for it if you like it after your 30 day evaluation.

with the simple applet or the advanced one?
Only yesterday I noticed the simple one wasnt fuctioning correctly and fixed it.


People with the evulation version of mirc can still use it after 30 days or if you dont like it flashing at you simply re-install it every 30 days or pay for it.

Its actually not on those apllets. I have a thing called Trillian that has AOL, Yahoo, MSN, and ICQ messengers. It also has IRC. I tried that by plugging in www.cichlidfish.com as the server, and #worldcichlids as the channel. I dont know if thats how Im supposed to do it but I was just messing around with it one day and tried it out. I can get in there, just not say anything.

im in there about 5 hours on week days and about 8 on week ends. and there is usually atleast one if not more people for me to chat with the whole time. so maybe u should try dropping by more often than just once and i am likely to be there along with some other fish fanatics
