very beautiful fish.
i wonder how the color would compare if you brought that wild one home from your shop.  It would be difficult to part with the one you have though.  Too bad you couldnt keep both.
Like the simplicity of the tank and the lace rock display.
What kind of substrate is that?  I l ike it alot and have seeen it around in many fish shops....much more natural than sand.
what are the water parameters in that tank?

He's gorgeous, Adam.  Is it colouring that defines species with peacocks?  Over here they's just sold as "peacocks" with no other definition.

The substrate is a mixture of about 50/50 #30 grit graded sand(this is very fine I would use #20 in future), and fine aquarium gravel.  I really like the look of it too, and it hardly needs cleaning because the gravel prevents impaction and the sand prevents waste from settling in to it.

yeah peacocks are classified by collection area, each collection area has a differant color pattern for the most part and they are named differant species from that.  However there are some species that have multipule color patterns within the same species name.  Most stores sell them as assorted anyway because they dont have properly trained employees to ID them. We have a hell of a time at work because only one guy knows them reallywell, I know them prety well and the rest are clueless lol.

What size tank is that Adam? Looks like a 29?

Thanks,

Yeah it is a 29.  I will be upgrading them soon hopefully to something like a 40 breeder or larger.  They are still fairly small and seem to be coexisting in that tank quite well.
