Be Earthquake prepared
« on: August 28, 2003, 10:09:15 AM »
I am near Los Angeles and we have had a couple small earthquakes the other day, so I filled up a clean 5 gallon bucket with tank water just in case we get hit with a big shaker and the tank gets busted. Its in a pretty sturdy spot but after 1994 I still get worried. Does anyone know how often I should change the bucket water to keep it good? Also I keep it covered so that dirt does not get in.
Thanks,
Chris

Jesus you guys know when you are having an earthquake too????  I wouldn't fill a bucket but a squarish container if you have one. After all the volume would be larger. About the water you can cycle it back into the tank and fill again every day and yes keep it covered.  :o

It's hard not to know when your having an earthquake ;D....unless it's a tremor like we get here in arkansas,it just feels like a big truck going down the street in front of the house.
Too small,or not too small;that is the question.
