tell them all to bring water samples and test their ph on arrival  ;D your country has proved that africans and americans can live together with success. we started with convicts and bred from there  ;D

I tried moving to your tank over there in Australia just because everyone there seems to have a good sense of humor ;D, but they gave me some B.S. about needing a sponsor and a job :(. Guess you guys don't have any room left for Puerto Ricans :D.

This thread just got silly ;D

I've found from experience that keepign convicts by themselves in a tank with no other dither fish just isnt' practical. As the cave dwellers they are, well, they mostly remain in their caves, they're not the most sociable of fish, and let the food sink to the bottom until they're really really sure you're not in the room to see that they are actually alive...and by that time that comes around,they are in too much of a snit to lower themselves to search for the food that they let go to waste.  ::)  I added a couple barbs... WOW! It's my favourite tank.  Plus, it looks a heck of a lot more interesting in there for the fish also :)

I just put in  2 tiger barbs, 2 albino tigers and 1 green. That's one pink con, one firemouth and 5 little barbs in a 33 gallon. I've got caves from hell though and tons of sheltering plants so everyone can hide when they feel the need to. I'll post a pic in the picture album forum. :)
