Topic: Ever heard of Tandanus??

if anyone has ever heard of a yellow tail Tandanus can u guys get me some info they are the only catfish that will survive with my cichlids and i just wanted a little info on the little guys.... if u guys want i can also post a pic cause i just bought a digi cam so any info will help thanx

I used to keep them one of our native fish,, Tandanus tandandus(lot of fish are named like this) is the full name or just eel-tailed catfish
Problem is they get really big over time..70-90cm(aprox 36inches max) and the spines hurt if they get you.. Ive never had any long enough to grow full size though. Bit like salmon tails,,gotta give them away or release them after a too big of a size.

They are also  great gaming fish and taste very nice

thanx for the tip tony but my jag tank is big enough to handle them plus my 2 jags then.... also in my jag tank i got a jardini saratoga which is 1 meter long exactly... so yeh the tank is big enough lol sort of a freak but hey got the time and money to do it... also i can post a pic of my beast if u guys want...

Yeah a pic of the Tandanus would be cool to see.. I had one pic on here a couple of years ago but its long deleted now Your the first person I know on this forum that has one.
