excellent question. i've allways said it as 'doh-vee' , is that right or am i sounding like a doofus?

on another note i've heard some pretty different ways of saying cichlid too. i say 'sick-lid' but people at my LFS say it like shick-lid (sort of)  ::)

dov - eye


I don't know how to put the little marks over sounds and stuff - guess I shoulda listened instead of sleeping through typeing class  :D:

But it's said like the word dove - (like he dove into the water)

Hey it's what I've been calling them too. I guess it's just the more logical way to go according to the spelling :)   Glad I know better now, but i think I"ll still be calling them Dovee since it just seems to fit ;)
