Another place you can get Honduran Red Points is through Jeff Rapps at www.tangledupincichlids.com. He is the best in the business as most will say and defienently sells some of the highest quality New World Cichlids. O0

I too, would be almost certain that it is definitely dyed.  I have never seen a Blue Con. You gotta be careful, nowadays, with strange colored fish, that are never seen before.  It's a shame.

those fish in the auction are either Honduran Red Points or a cross of Honduran Red Points with regular convicts.  there are fish farms in Florida crossing regular convicts with Honduran Red Points and selling them generically as Blue convicts.  here are a few pics of my Honduran Red points.

FJ; do you know if these are a feasible purchase from an LFS or LPS? I would very much like to have some HRPs. They are beutiful, and would be just as fun as Copns, I assume?! I have never seen them before you posted your first pics, so are they too rare to find in a store?

I'm thinking that you'd have to personally request for some Raven, and you'd probably have to wait awhile till the lfs tracked some down for you (if they actually give a rat's rump about customer satisfaction that is) but it's got to be possible...

I think you're more likely to find the hybrid "blue convicts" in an lfs than pure Honduran Red Points.  Raven, where do you live?

New Brunswick, Canada. No rush. I'll wait for purebreds.
Not interested in hybrids unless I get 'em by accident. ^-^
