I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick one up soon.  Should I just plop him in with my healthy convict, or should I put it in a seperate tank for a couple of days to make sure it's disease free?

if u want to quarantine the fish that is up to you, i think it would be a good idea to do so just to be sure it is disease free

Will the bristlenose eat the brown algae off of the plastic plants, as well as the sides of the tank?
I'm wondering, if they are such efficient algae eaters as I have heard, what do I do when it eats all the algae off the sides of the tank, and if there is no left over food on the bottom of the tank because I only feed one fish so I make sure I have no left-overs?
Thanks.

Well some algaes can be eaten by fish, other types of algae just tend to sit there. They don't seem to make an acceptable food source and must be removed manually.

There's also pleco food tablets btw. And sinking shrimp pellets..   What's your size tank again? 30 gallons? That is certainly a sufficient amount of space to support a convict with a 6 inch pleco.   ???

We have the power to do any damn fool thing we want to do, and we seem to do it about every ten minutes.

Alrighty, I'll keep up with the frequent 25% water changes and pick up a pleco next time I'm out.  Thanks for all the help everyone!
