How long?

I just got a male and female convict today. I was wondering when the will lay eggs?

how big are they ??
they first haveta get used to the tank and if they compatable then it should be relativly quick . what size taank are they in and to the have a cave or sumthing to spawn in ??

They are about two inches adn are in a 55 gallon. There is twon caves and they have declared one of the caves theirs because there is always one in the cave.

my first cons were about 2" when they started breeding. but i had 2 females to the 1 male i havnt had any luck in forced pairing. but you should see spawning activity in the next 2-3 weeks (imo) if they are compatable.

I picked up 2 pr about 3 weeks ago.....put them in a 55 g tank and ensured I had a couple of places for them to lay the eggs.....one pair used a 6 inch flower pot....Needless to say, I know have about 200 convict fry....Good luck
