I dont know if you know alot about the different types of flowerhorns but the pearl texas is in fact a flowerhorn and a texas mix... they look discolored as youngsters but grow to be gorgeous as they get older (the older the better) but from the picture the body style of your fish looks more like a vieja... but like I said the little guys look a little different... (like an off colored texas blue)
WHAT?
So now they're giving flowerhorns names that used to be used on
real species of cichlids?

IF so the mutant lovers have gone way to far, already made enough mess of other fish with the flowerc

p fish

I looked on all the major flowerhorn sites and didn't see any with "texas" in their name other then the red texas, thankfully

Where'd you get this info?
It's getting funnier and stupider everyday - with these "cool, great, wonderful" hybrids.
If they're so great why is it more and more they're sold as
real species of fish ?
Don't think so?
Look around (I said this would happen a long time ago)
flowerhorns - sold as trimacs
flowerhorns - sold a midas
Flower horns (red texas) - sold as real texas cichlids
and theres more
and there will probally be more

and they'll finish with
flowerthatruinedthehobbyhornInsane,stupid and pointless

It's about equal to putting a lamborghini emblem and a for sale sign on a yugo
