Anyway, like you said pointless argument.... I will never agree with even a scientist who has studied Brichardi for 15 years or what have you... I guess we will just have to agree, that we dissagree...

But it was fun!!!

They maybe Shell Dwellers, would probably need a picture to give you a straight answer... The thing that I hate most about LFS is that for the most part they really dont know what there doing (when it comes to naming or compatibility) but I think almost any kind of Dwarf cichlid would do the trick in a 20-30 gal (rams, agrizzi, convicts) just to name a few non african dwarf cichlids/smaller cichlids...

Stebo, you're gonna run into the same problem we discussed with Electric Yellows with pretty much all the African cichlids, shellie's or otherwise, except Kribs.  They need to be in groups with a high female to male ratio and in a 10 gallon you just don't have the room for it.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. do you mean if i wanted to breed them i'd need 2-4 females for one male? If thats it i don't intend to breed them

It really doesn't matter if you're planning on breeding them or not, they still need to be kept in larger groups than a 10 gallon tank can support.  Even if you are keeping only females you'll still need 4 or 5 fish, and your average 10 gallon tank doesn't have the space to provide territory for that many fish.  Their aggression levels are too high to keep only 2 fish in a tank.

I agree with Fnesr, Kribs would be great in a 10gal... So would the Shell dwellers...

See we can agree on something...lol O0

Kribs is a great suggestion. That's what I would also go with Stebo.  O0
