How often do you feed your fish beefheart recpt? Just made a batch and by the way smells great.

Well that depends on the size of your fish. I tended to feed it twice to three times a day in very small amounts when my fish were small, but now I'm down to once a day to every third day (tend to skip the weekend) .

It's a good staple food, though sometimes it's wise to skip the beefheart to feed something else as to add variety for the fish such as krill, shelled peas, live insects, other veggies and foods that your fish like and which is good for them

ive got store bought stuff but i only feed once a week as a treat other wise my O wont eat the pellets

Luke just get your mums processor and make a batch yourself,, takes me about 15 minutes but first time it may take you longer. Better  than that crap you buy and much cheaper...



ps,, make sure you wash out the processor good 

Yeah my large adult cichlids get it it once  every 2 to 3 days.

I too use the store bought stuff once or twice a week for fear my JD's won't eat the pellets and sticks.Haven't looked into making it.

I've only made the beefheart once about 6 months or so and am still using that same batch  last forever and you don't have to worry about any additives or food coloring being in it, not to mention the total cost of everything to make it came to  about  $25  you can't beat that
