Thanks for the votes everyone! I'd also like to acknowledge the other monthly winners who posted great pics of their fish. This BB zebra 'chilumba' (one of my favorite african cichlids) has been doing great since I took that pic and has grown a bit as well as sired a number of fry. Here's how he looks these days (flashless pic):  Thanks again everyone!

He's a metriaclima sp. zebra 'chilumba', also known as the BB zebra (BB=black-barred), a type of african cichlid.

cheers kaybee, its just my girlfriend loves fish almost as much as i do. And she came into the study whilst i was looking at your fish and she said "thats gorgeous, i gota have one!!!!" so there is reason behind my madness hehehe

 hehe no she just natuarlly loves them i think. Is there such a course, because maybe i could send my nan (who i live with) to it and them maybe she wouldnt keep on moaning at me, telling me such things like...... They cost too much.......... they are just going to die anyway............... they take up too much room. blah blah blah...... i pay for it, i look after them and DONT kill them....... and they are in MY bedroom........... so zip it  I think if ther is something to moan at she will.
