I just noticed last night that my female's belly is growing all of a sudden. So apparently we are having some babies. My question is, " how long does the female carry her eggs before she lays them?" Reason why, I want to move the pair to a tank where they will be by themselves, but I don't want to move her  if she all ready laid her eggs. There is a really nice decorative piece in my big tank with lots of places where she could have laid the eggs and I wouldn't be able to see them. I don't think she laid them yet cause her belly still looks very large. thanks in advance for any help that anyone might have for us. JaaTee

not sure they have a set time or how long it lasts, are they showing mating signs like lip locking, brushing against each other and clearing a lating site?
