My Hatiensis came in today from Cichlid Connection.I tell you what Gage and his crew are some awesome people to deal with over there.Fish were very healthy and most of all they were the size that they were suppose to be.I could not have asked for a better experience.
Thanks again Gage.
Here is a small clip of a male and female already taking over a flower pot and they have only been in the tank about 40 minutes!!

I think that will be great Gerry!
I am learning more and more with thes guys everyday that's for sure.
They love the strong current and it's a must to keep the water warm.I did find that at 84.5 degrees they were too aggressive, since then I keep it at 81.5 and there has been a drastic difference in aggression. They love their water clean, being that while young they tend to live in running waters, when mature they tend to go deeper and cooler.
Their diet consist of a lower protein and lower fat content than most foods.I feed them Peas and carrots in the morning and in the evening I give Omega One flakes with Spirulina and Kelp. These guys are the heartiest eaters I have ever seen, hence the reason for bloat. They simply do not know how to quit eating!
Today I plan on taking one of the pairs out and give them their own tank.
I will keep you guys posted.
